November 7, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. Perdita Sheirich Junior Art Prize Presentation: Ella Endo: The 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. Ms. Endo traveled to Italy to attend and document her discoveries at this annual, world-renowned exhibition in Venice.
Nicole van Brugge: Two Eras of Chinese-Christian Art: the Late Ming & Early Qing Dynasties; and The Post-Boxer Rebellion Era Preceding the Cultural Revolution. Ms. van Brugge researched Christian art in China during these periods, created both by Western artists catering to Chinese audiences and by Christian Chinese-born artists.

March 6, 2025: Famous Bus Trip #1: The early January outing to Skirball Cultural Center was RESCHEDULED due to LA fires. Rembrandt members will enjoy its featured Diane von Furstenberg: “Woman Before Fashion: 50 years of Fashion” and the permanent exhibit: “Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America.” Brunch on your own prior to the Center’s opening at 12. April 3, 2025: George Gorse, Pomona College Art Department will share his incredible knowledge of “The Architecture & Art of Pomona College.” Studio Art Building, Lecture Rm 122 1:30-3:00 p.m.
May 22, 2025: Annual Spring Luncheon Jointly hosted by Scripps Fine Arts and Rembrandt Club, featuring guest speaker Jeff Faust, former Claremont resident now living in Petaluma. Cost and detail will be published on our website in spring 2025. Jeff shared his inspiration:
" I tend to want to retreat to a simple view. . . Life is so
loud these days. We are bombarded with loud music
and loud people. I'm trying to create these windows I can look at in order to re-center myself. . . windows that not only can re-center myself but also give people a respite from the world, too, and maybe help them re-center themselves as well.”
